Once Rachel had the DVD in the TV, she closed the case and moved back onto the couch, grabbing the remote and turning on the TV. “I’m just going to get changed into something more comfortable,” She said to Santana as she arrived back in the living room with all their snacks. “You can play the movie if you want, I’ve seen it so many times I could probably recite it to you,” She shrugged, pushing up off the couch and making her way towards her small room, not even bothering to close the door because of the small part of her that hoped Santana might glance over as she was changing. A bigger part of her knew it was ridiculous that she was even thinking about it, because either way, nothing was going to happen or change.
That didn’t stop her from making the effort to end up in something comfortable, that was at least a small bit attractive. Whether she had a chance or not, she wanted to at least feel hot in front of Santana and feel like Santana was thinking about how hot she looked. Grabbing an oversized shirt she had, that came down to her upper thigh, she unbuttoned the buttons on it before stripping down to her bra and panties, and pulling the shirt on after, button it back up. She stood in front of her mirror, making sure she looked okay and sighing at how much it mattered to her.
Finally plucking up the courage, she walked back out into the living room and sat down on the couch beside Santana again, pulling her legs up to tuck underneath her. “Ready?” She smiled, leaning over to pick up her bottle of water and take a sip of it, before pressing play on the remote and leaning back more comfortable on the couch. “You’ve seen this movie before, right?” She asked, trying to keep a bit of conversation flowing as she glanced over at Santana.
As Santana had finally relaxed on the couch, she closed her eyes for a moment to try to stay calm. She felt this urge to tell Rachel how she felt so she wasn’t stuck with all these feelings trapped inside, but the other part didn’t want to ruin their friendship. She didn’t want to say something that would make Rachel feel uncomfortable and then cause the two of them to live in an awkward environment. She couldn’t deal with that, and she knew that one of them would end up having to move out, and most likely Santana would be that person.
She looked over at Rachel and gave her a smile and nod, before she let out a light laugh. “I think that your memory is getting a little bad. Remember we watched this with Kurt not too long ago?” She reminded Rachel. She understood if she didn’t remember, because it had been a long time ago, and Rachel had been under a lot of stress and pressure with working on getting ready for her auditions and everything. “You can’t forget the pillows Kurt made for us.” She said with a light grin.
Santana reached over to Rachel and took the remote out of her hand before she leaned back again and finally pressed play. “But this time, let’s try not to do some sing a longs and enjoy the movie? I think I’ve heard you sing enough this week.” Santana was obviously joking because she didn’t mind listening to Rachel sing, she actually loved her voice and thought she sounded amazing. She had ever since she joined the glee club, she just would never really praise her for it. She was a bitch to her back then.
I think I’ll pass.

Rachel put her shoes down and looked up to Santana, frowning a little as she mentioned that she had forgotten the cupcakes. It obviously wasn’t that big of a deal, after all, they were only a few cupcakes. But, the fact that Santana had been so caught up in Dani, that she forget about the cupcakes, made a pang of jealously and sadness shoot through her. Why couldn’t she have that place in Santana’s heart that Dani had? Why did she want that place in Santana’s heart that Dani had? Santana Lopez was her best friend. That’s it. Nothing more was going to happen. That’s why she was with Jesse.
Snapping back into the moment, she nodded her head a little. “Yeah, I guess I’ll have one then. Jesse said they tasted really good,” She said, biting her lip gently as she tried to stop herself from saying anything more. She didn’t want to be one of those people that fought fire with fire, even though she knew Santana wasn’t purposely talking about Dani to upset her or purposely forgetting about the cupcakes. Her head was almost beginning to hurt from all the confusion and the pull to Santana she was feeling.
When Santana mentioned a movie, she smiled and nodded. “Yeah, that sounds good. And I promise, no Funny Girl,” She said, trying to lighten the mood a little. Honestly, if she hadn’t of turned Santana down before for a movie, she would of done it now, knowing the only thing going through her head would be how much she wanted her. Standing up from the couch, she walked over towards their pile of DVD’s and sat down in front of them. “How about Mamma Mia? That’s not a sappy romance film, and it’s got good music,” She called out to Santana.
Santana stood in the kitchen and she stared at the microwave as the popcorn started to pop. She tried so hard to not let herself get lost in her thoughts again because more than likely she would end up burning the popcorn because she would be so distracted. Shaking her head, she walked over to the refrigerator and she grabbed the both of them something to drink and set it down on the table. She glanced out of the kitchen and over to Rachel who asked about Mamma Mia. “Yeah, that’s cool.” She called back to Rachel.
She looked around until she found the big popcorn bowl they always used when watching a movie and set it down on the counter. When the microwave started beeping to let her know it was done, she pressed stop and opened up the microwave. Holding the bag by the ends so she wouldn’t get burned, she carefully pulled it out of the microwave and set it on the counter. Santana opened up the bag and let the steam escape before she poured the popcorn into the bowl.
When she was done she closed the microwave, and she threw away the popcorn bag. Santana grabbed the bowl, two flavored water bottles and the cupcakes before returning back to the living room. “I got flavored water, popcorn and the cupcakes.” Santana said before setting them all down on the coffee table and then plopping down onto the couch. “Press play whenever you’re ready.” She said before she reached for the bowl of popcorn and set it down in her lap so it was easy for both of them to reach.
That’s what I keep asking myself. I think I do.
OOC: Yes it’s very new. We started it less than a week ago. Haha, maybe they will! We’ll have to see… I’m glad you like it! Thank you.
We would be because we’re both young, and hot.But yeah, please don’t remind me about that St. James boy who’s probably just using her and will end up dumping eggs on her head again just to embarrass her.
I don’t know… With all of the shit I did to her back in high school, I’m actually surprised that the two of us ended up being friends and got to where we are today. If I sprung that on her and made things awkward—I just can’t ruin the one really great friendship that I have right now. I’m already starting to ruin it with my jealousy. I have other friends, but not like Rachel, and all of my other friends that I used to be close with either live in Lima or live in some other state.
